What is Cognitive Science?
Everybody whom i told what i would study the next few years was asking me this question. I think it's time to anwser. so here we go...
You also could ask someone who dicided to study mathmatics what it means. But that's not the point, because everybody has a idea what mathmatics could be - You learn how to solve mathmatic problems. And so I learn how to solve cognitive problems.
Cognitive science is the scientific study either of mind or intelligence. It's about the penomena of thinking and the relationship between mind and brain. It depends upon work on computer simulations, perception, language, mental states and consciuosness.

In the meantime you can think about wether the brain causes the mind activities,vice versa or both. and what's with consciousness? Do we have a free will (read Roth's theory if you find that interessting)
wether there is a difference between brain and mind? but mind that the mind has no third-person-perspective.
or wether computers are able to think like humans...
