cognitive science means in the first semester: learning how to program in java, program in java, understand java, use java. so it seems to be all about informatics at the moment.

of course there are other courses:
such as statistics (what is really boring, i say you, if you ever can't find no sleep vistit the statitic lectures - that helps immediatly),
neurobiologiy (that lecture is to fast for you),
linguistics
and logic

wich are very interesting but not the main part. sometimes it seems they just are there so we don't think we are studying informatics....

ArrayOutOfBoundException

Throw RunTimeException

That is surely the view of most cogscis. But as somebody who has been programming since 7th Grade (Gymnasium) it is a little bit a different view on the study.

The Info A stuff is as Tom would say "arm" ;) When you know a little bit about Java it is no so complicated. The challenge is to find a good algorithm for the problem and not to get the program working or something like that.

For me, the amount of homeworks is too big. My flatemate once askedme how i could stay out every evening and still get my homework done. What she failed to recognize is, that I go out every evening, but only to meet with my pratice groups and do the homework. =)

fine sunday afternoon.").

homework and 'hotheads'

oh yeah, i take off very often but i never have the feeliung of getting off. i'm imaging myself that i'm studying all the time - without brake. enough talk about homework and study...
'hotheads' is very fine short living lecture. ok, it's a very thin book, but good 'zwischendurch' lecture. written excelent it manages to bring me to smile on every page. i love the books of pinker - one learns much about human nature without getting headace.
