berlin: weihnacht in der vergangenheit
irgendwie komisch. ich hatte das gefühl, alles sei beim alten, ich war nie weg. dennoch fühlte ich mich fremd. so als wär der ic von osnabrück nach berlin eine zeitmaschine gewesen. ab und zu meldungen aus der zukunft über mein handy von menschen, die mit meinem alten leben absolut nichts zu tun hatten. langsam kroch die alte einsamkeit zurück in meine knochen. ich wünschte, ich hätte ein anderes leben in einer neuen stadt.
osnabrück wär doch nicht schlecht.

Wieder mit matthias vereint wurde es doch noch schön in der großen weißen stadt.

in autumn. i don't know what to do. watching tv is just so boring and learning....it's weekend. . and i have allready done to much this weekend.
should i go to bed? what for? sleeping? today is sunday, so no chance of getting sleep..

cognitive science means in the first semester: learning how to program in java, program in java, understand java, use java. so it seems to be all about informatics at the moment.

of course there are other courses:
such as statistics (what is really boring, i say you, if you ever can't find no sleep vistit the statitic lectures - that helps immediatly),
neurobiologiy (that lecture is to fast for you),
linguistics
and logic

wich are very interesting but not the main part. sometimes it seems they just are there so we don't think we are studying informatics....

Everybody whom i told what i would study the next few years was asking me this question. I think it's time to anwser. so here we go...

You also could ask someone who dicided to study mathmatics what it means. But that's not the point, because everybody has a idea what mathmatics could be - You learn how to solve mathmatic problems. And so I learn how to solve cognitive problems.

Cognitive science is the scientific study either of mind or intelligence. It's about the penomena of thinking and the relationship between mind and brain. It depends upon work on computer simulations, perception, language, mental states and consciuosness.

This definition is taken from a oxford lexicon. I hope it will help you. if not, i'm sorry to tell you that you have to wait till i have time to write more about it.

In the meantime you can think about wether the brain causes the mind activities,vice versa or both. and what's with consciousness? Do we have a free will (read Roth's theory if you find that interessting)
wether there is a difference between brain and mind? but mind that the mind has no third-person-perspective.
or wether computers are able to think like humans...

strolling around i was overwhelmed by a strange feeling. it was a somehow familiar but long forgotten idea. the inner will to change.
